My symptoms include wet & runny nose (and blocked most of the time) and watery eyes. But it was the headaches that bothered me the most. The headaches (along my eyebrows and left cheek) were caused by bacteria infection that occurred in the sinus cavities as a result of trapped moisture. And these headaches will stay for weeks.

The doctor told me that it is caused by allergy to dust mites, "take antihistamine, one tablet every night before bedtime. I will also prescribe a nasal spray for day use." He also told me quite frankly that surgery will not help.

I did not like the idea of taking pills. One tablet a night will translate into 365 tablets a year! Instead, I took one tablet once every two to three nights. But the headaches came back. So … besides the headaches … I had to pay for the tablets!

This was not all, the real misery came whenever I had a meal. My nose started to run especially when I took hot/soupy food, and then it would choke up. Picture this … me blowing my nose in front of my colleagues who were having their lunch. Quite rude … I would say. I had no choice! I just couldn't breathe through my mouth and eat at the same time!

Then, my friend Alvin invited me to Bel'Air. He did not know about my problem, he just wanted to show me the business. I was having one of my sinus 'attacks' (my left nostril was blocked) while attending a presentation at Bel'Air. I felt so unwell that I had wanted to leave even before the session started. However I stayed anyway. 5 minutes after the presentation started, I felt movements in my left nostril; it felt like things breaking up inside. After 10-15 minutes, I could breathe through both nostrils!! You wouldn't know how great the feeling was to me. I found out later that during the presentation that evening, they were diffusing Eucalyptus essential oil in the seminar room. Since then (nine months now), I have not taken a single tablet for sinus or used my nasal spray!

Due to my hectic work schedules as a doctor, my biological clock had been totally upset by the numerous on-calls I had. I never got to sleep well.

Not till I tried Bel'Air Lavende essential oil. On the first night that I tried, the aromatherapy worked like a charm and I slept like a baby. Having been trained in Science my whole life, I sought to repeat the 'experiment'. On the second night, I diffused Lavende again and once more, I found sleep fulfilling. I was puzzled as this could mean that thousands of insomniacs or patients who suffer sleep disorders now have an alternative.

To rule out the psychological component or 'placebo effect' would be difficult without randomised trials. And I could not rule myself out as being biased towards this product.

However, on the third night, my dog crept into my room instead of his usual sleeping place. I diffused Lavende as usual. The funny thing was, in the morning , when I awoke, my dog continued to sleep like a puppy, refusing to budge. Normally, it would wake up at 6 am daily and start its usual dog-activities. But that morning, even when I left for work at 7.30 am , it refused to even wake up to greet me....

In late March 2002, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer stage 4 and was scheduled immediately for an operation on the 1 April 2002. After the ops, my gynecologist told me that he had not been able to remove all the cancer cells as doing so would mean I would lose my ability to conceive. I was advised to try to conceive as soon as possible, afterwhich the doctor would remove the remnants of the cancer cells, along with my womb.

My financial situation at that time didn't give me the liberty to carry out the advice by the doctor... In the mean time, I was aware that I live daily with cancer cells in my body.

In September 2002, my sister Maggie brought Bel'Air to my attention. I decided it would be my vehicle to realising my dream of being financially stable so that I could start a family.

I have been using the products ever since, diffusing essential oil for as long as I was at home. Initially I used it just for the nice scent. But I soon saw how it eased my husband's sinus as well as my insomnia. In February 2003, when I went for my routine check up, I was amazed to be told that, miraculously, my cancer became undetectable.

I can't be sure that the product cured my cancer. But I would say that it has helped strengthen my body's immune system to the extent that my body was able to fight the cancer cells on its own. Sharing my story today on 2 June 2003, I'm so happy to remain cancer free.

My mother, who is in her mid 60's, is suffering from severe osteoarthritis that affects both her knees. She relies on antibiotics to suppress the pain. Due to her condition, she's unable to walk a lot especially going up or down staircases at HDB flats. As a result, she stays home most of the time.

I even engaged a Malay massage woman to massage her knees on a monthly basis and that seemed to work well for her for a short term. Then one day, Sister Os introduced me to Green Bamboo essential oil from Bel'Air. I recalled the first time when I diffused the essential oil, my father was against it. He wasn't used to the aroma and complaint it gave him a headache. I did what sister Os said by sneaking an operating diffuser into their bedroom after my parents had gone to their "slumberland" and left it there till the next morning.

My mom likes the scent and she even reminds me to diffuse the essential oil everynight. I soon noticed improvement to her osteoarthritis condition. No more groaning whenever she gets up from a sitting position. She even started going for short brisk wallks with my father. Most surprisingly, she could manage to walk all the way to the market which is about 3 bus stops from where we live.

Thank God, I'm really elated to see my mother becoming healthier and living a more active lifestyle. As for my father, he no longer minds the scent. My whole family is into it now and we use a total of 4 diffusers - Ocean for my eldest daughter during her tuition in the study room, Eucalyptus for my husband and youngest daughter, Green Bamboo for my parents' bedroom, and Eucalyptus is my choice for the living room and outdoor.

Whenever I start to feel a blockage in my nostril or when my body starts to feel achy, I'll diffuse Eucalyptus essential oil on that very night, for about 2 hours. I would normally put the diffuser under my bed at a position close to my head.

My past three experiences so far have indicated that I only need to use the essential oil for about 2 nights before I fully recovered from my blocked nose and the aching body. Personally, I feel essential oil is far more effective than taking chemical-based medicine. Furthermore, many synthetic drugs tend to cause side-effects such as drowsiness while plant-based essential oil is natural and safer.

At a time when our environment is getting polluted with all sorts of germs and illnesses, our health is affected one way or another.

I was introduced to Bel'Air by a friend, Jackie Yong, during my company's workshop. I had a sudden asthma attack and had to seek medical help. I'm a very light sleeper or rather I would say am suffering from insomnia for years. I relied very much on sleeping pills even alcohol to give me a good night sleep. However since I started to use citronelle essential oil for just a week my sleeping habit has greatly improved. Any medicines, be it syrup or tablet even if swallowed he will right away throw out. After I diffuse it for just 10 minutes my husband put it off as he can not take the smell. Too strong for him. God told me to use my lamp again because I've thought of using muriatic acid but I know it wont kill the bacteria as the odor was emanating from the garbage. So I asked my driver to get the lamp and I told him ok ill be the one to pick up the kids you just watch over this lamp. You put the lamp 30mins in one opening and after 30mins you put in the other opening. So that's what he did and praise God when I came from picking up the kids I investigated again and I was so amazed with the product that there was no odor at all! All it smelled was flowers so that really made my day!
